Started in Meiji era (1968 - 1912), Yamamaz operates wholesale business of "Minoyaki" (or Mino Ware) - ceramics originating in the Mino region. Mikio Kato succeeded the stage-name Matsujiro Kato加藤松治郎 - the founder of the business and became Matsujiro Kato IIII in January 2019.
We also have an on-site retail shop with items carefully selected. You can find items from over 30 minoyaki local makers. The shop is open 10AM to 5PM everyday. (Closed for 1-2nd January)
Our strength is that we offer variety of traditional and modern Japanese dishware types. With long history of business, we have many international partners and individuals.
